About VAN
Veza Agency Network is a digital transformation consultancy for enterprise B2B. We unify specialists in web, search, and automation into a single partner for marketing leaders navigating the AI era. Our engagements carry real commercial stakes, and the books behind them are held to the same standard as the work.
The Role
You own the day-to-day books across multiple entities: accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. You keep records accurate and current, and you get the team reliable numbers on time.
You work with large volumes of financial data, so you organize it, clean it, and reconcile it without losing the thread. You find the recurring tasks that should not be manual and you automate them. You partner with finance and operations, and you use AI tools to compress reporting and reconciliation work.
Clean books are the deliverable. Automating the path to them is the job.
What You'll Work On
- Run day-to-day bookkeeping across accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Close the month on schedule, with reconciled accounts and documented adjustments.
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple accounts and entities.
- Organize, clean, and reconcile large volumes of financial data.
- Prepare clear reports that give the team timely, reliable numbers.
- Identify recurring bookkeeping tasks worth automating, then build the automation.
- Partner with finance and operations on process, timing, and data quality.
- Apply AI tools to reporting, reconciliation, and analysis without loosening controls.
What We Expect
Quality
- Reconcile to the penny, and document anything that does not tie.
- Close the month on the agreed date, not the week after.
- Flag a discrepancy the day you find it, never at close.
- Keep an audit trail on every adjustment, so any entry can be traced back.
- Automate a task only after the manual version is correct and understood.
Behavioral
- Respond to messages within 2 business hours during your working day, faster when flagged urgent.
- Communicate blockers early, not at the deadline.
- Keep accurate time logs as a standard part of the workflow.
- Self-QA every deliverable before it leaves your hands.
- Handle financial information with discretion, without exception.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong Excel: pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, and data cleanup on large files.
- Working command of an accounting platform such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Hands-on experience with an automation tool such as Zapier, Make, or Power Automate.
- Daily use of AI tools (Claude or equivalent) for reporting, reconciliation, or analysis.
- Direct experience running a month-end close from start to finish.
Strong advantage
- Experience with SoftLedger.
- Multi-entity or multi-currency accounting exposure.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Background in a startup or another fast-paced environment.
Who Will Stand Out
You are systematic by default. You like structure, you follow through, and you catch the small variance before it turns into a restatement. You have inherited messy books before and turned them into something you would defend line by line.
You are not interested in running the same manual reconciliation for the hundredth time. You would rather spend an hour building the automation than a month repeating the task, and you know which controls should never be automated away.
You would rather build the system than run the workaround.
What We Offer
- Remote-first, async-friendly environment.
- Enterprise B2B engagements across SaaS, fintech, healthcare, and AI sectors.
- Direct collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer and senior operators across the network.
- A team that takes craft seriously, with client results that back it.
- Retainer-based work model. Meaningful, ongoing programs instead of one-off launches.
